Round Two Done

Well, I went ahead and did a little slash and insert on my center block and then bordered it to give it a little more definition.....And then I finished the crumb border.....they are not yet sewn on since those were the instructions. And now we wait for round three!
(note the poor little leftover orphan block...)
Oh yeah....the little circle is just stuck there - may or not stay - it really hasn't spoke to me yet, but seemed like a good idea at the time....

Liberated Quiltmakers Round Robin, Round Two...

Our instructions for Round Two of our Liberated Round Robin were to make some "crumb fabric" ~ This is new fabric constructed of lots and lots of smaller scraps:
So I have a good bunch done now.....and am trying them out on the design wall.....and Oh Dear! My center block seems to be disappearing! So I know I need to do something drastic to bring it back to life - or maybe not so drastic - At least a small hot pink border to set it apart.....
So for now, it is back up to the sewing room!

Liberated quilters RR

So I am still new to this blogging stuff, so bear with me!
Our Round Robin tells us to start with a central block - so I took 4 blocks that I had sewn up for some unknown future project and decided to put them together for my center block....then we were told to liberate that center block. Here are the original 4 blocks:

So I decided that as they were, they were not liberated enough so I chopped 2 of them in half (kinda diagonally) and sewed them to each other....This is the final result:

So now I am wondering if I need to slash again on the other diagonal ? What do you think?
