Well, here I am again ~ This time to pitch the book that I am a contributing author to. This is a first for me. I have had my quilts in the gallery section of a book or two in the past, but I have never actually had a pattern that I designed published in a book. This is very exciting for me! The book, A Baker's Dozen, releases March 2nd. The patterns in it all involve the use of those wonderful pre-cut fabrics...like layer cakes, nickels, dimes, jelly rolls and fat quarters.
Here I am standing in front of my quilt, Emerald Forest, which uses 8 fat quarters and a background fabric. It was a lot of fun to do the quilt, but the nitty-gritty of writing out the actual pattern and figuring the cuts and measurements....not so much! I don't think that I would ever want to do a whole book, unless someone else did the actual paper and pen work....just let me play with my fabric!
